FreeSWITCH is the most widely-used, open-source product for telephony and video on the market. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company, which got its start in 2017, was launched by a group of engineers who built FreeSWITCH, an open-source application server for real-time communication, WebRTC, telecommunications, video and VoIP. ”I’ve been really lucky to work for some fast-growing companies that have started with an almost 100 percent channel focus in the beginning and have made VARs an awful lot of money … The approach here will be exclusively channel, as quickly as possible.”
“We absolutely won‘t sell direct once we have the channel in place, Hookano said. SignalWire‘s goal is to drive all of business for the brand-new SignalWire Work product - a virtual office and videoconferencing platform - through the channel, Hookano told CRN.
SignalWire, a startup specializing in “virtual office” and videoconferencing technology, has brought on Ezra Hookano as the company’s new vice president of global channels and business development.
